Privacy Policy

The data controller is ITALSENSOR SRL, with registered office at Via Carlo Borra 29, 10064 Pinerolo (TO), Italy, VAT number IT10125330018, REA TO-1107529.

For any question about the processing of your personal data, you can write to info@italsensor.com or to our certified email address (PEC) italsensor@pec.it.

This notice is provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and covers the website www.italsensor.com.

Data you provide through the forms on the site:

• Contact form: first and last name, company, email, phone number, subject and message.

• Quote requests from product pages and from the encoder comparison: first and last name, company, email and the models you are interested in.

• Digital Services, assessment request: first and last name, company, phone number, email, number of employees, industry and, if provided, your main need.

• Digital Services, brochure request: first and last name and email.

Please do not include in your messages any data that is not needed for your request, in particular health data or other special categories of data.

Browsing data: the systems that run the site automatically record some technical data, such as IP address, date and time of access, pages requested, browser and operating system. This data is used to keep the site running and secure and to produce aggregate statistics on the number of visits, not to identify or profile visitors.

The site does not use traffic analytics tools such as Google Analytics, advertising pixels or profiling cookies.

• Responding to requests for information, quotes, assessments or brochures and handling the related follow-up. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

• Protecting the forms from spam and automated submissions and keeping the site secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

• Complying with legal obligations and, where necessary, establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).

Data collected through the forms is not used for newsletters or promotional communications.

Providing the data requested in the forms is optional, but the required fields are needed to respond to your request. Browsing data is necessary for the site to work.

Data is processed electronically by authorised Italsensor staff, with appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted HTTPS connections, password-protected access to the administration area and regular backups. No decisions are made based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

• Data sent through the forms: 24 months from submission, after which it is automatically deleted from the site's database.

• If your request leads to a business relationship, the data needed is kept for the duration of the relationship and then for the period required by law (for example 10 years for accounting and tax records).

• Database backups: replaced on a rolling basis and deleted within 30 days.

• Browsing data: no longer than 12 months, unless needed to establish liability in the event of abuse or computer crime.

Your data is not sold or published. It may be accessed by:

• authorised Italsensor staff;

• the providers of our website hosting and email services, acting as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR;

• Google and the OpenStreetMap Foundation, only for the services described in the next section;

• advisers and public authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights.

Google reCAPTCHA. The contact form and the Digital Services assessment form are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The service loads only when you start filling in one of these forms: from then on Google receives technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information and your interaction with the verification check, and may set its own cookies. When the form is submitted, the site checks the result with Google, also sending your IP address. Purpose: telling people apart from automated programs in order to block spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework recognised as adequate by the European Commission. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy — Terms of Service: https://policies.google.com/terms

OpenStreetMap maps. On the Distributors page, the maps are built from images downloaded from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, based in the United Kingdom. To display them, your browser sends your IP address and the technical details of the request to those servers. No cookies are set. External links. Some pages contain links to external services, such as Google Maps for directions: data is sent to those services only if you open the link, and their own privacy policies apply.

The site itself only uses technical tools, which do not require consent under the Italian and EU rules on cookies (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines of 10 June 2021):

• NEXT_LOCALE: a technical cookie that remembers the language you chose; it expires when you close the browser.

• Browser local storage (localStorage): remembers that you closed the cookie notice or the announcement bar. It stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.

• Administration area: a technical session cookie valid for 24 hours, used only by authorised staff who log in to the management panel.

Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies, used for the security of the service, only after you start filling in a protected form (see section 8).

We do not use profiling, analytics or advertising cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site remains usable if the language cookie is blocked.

You may exercise the rights provided by Articles 15-22 GDPR at any time:

• access your data and obtain a copy;

• rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;

• erase your data ("right to be forgotten");

• restrict processing;

• data portability;

• object to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Send your requests to info@italsensor.com or italsensor@pec.it. We will reply without undue delay and in any case within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.

This notice may be updated, for example when new features are added to the site or regulations change. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update.
