Rotary encoders for industrial automation
Italsensor designs and manufactures industrial encoders in Italy for measuring position, speed and direction in automated machinery. The range includes incremental, absolute singleturn and multiturn, programmable and special encoders with solid, blind hollow or through hollow shafts.
Incremental encoders
They generate pulses proportional to shaft movement and are suited to speed control, counting and positioning. Multiple PPR resolutions, diameters, shaft types and output circuits are available.
Absolute encoders
They provide a unique position value, including after power is removed. Singleturn and multiturn versions are available with SSI, parallel, analog and industrial Ethernet interfaces.
How to choose the right encoder
Selection depends on measurement type, resolution, shaft diameter and mounting, IP rating, temperature, maximum speed and electrical interface. Use the catalog filters, compare datasheets or open the guided configurator to obtain a compatible order code.
